Food Works of Southern Illinois
Food Works works to build resilient farmers markets across southern Illinois, including our Winter Farmers Market, Healthy Rx initiative, online farmers market LEAF Food Hub, and our Mobile Farmers Market! We also manage the Southern Illinois Link Hub, increasing access to healthy, local food!
Food Access
We strengthen our small farm community through farmer training programs, including the Southern Illinois Farming Alliance network, field days, webinars and hands-on workshops. We host an annual conference each winter, and help to increase visibility of local food throughout the region.
Farm Services
Food Works offers opportunities to engage local food enthusiasts, including cooking demonstrations at our downtown Carbondale location, an annual Farm Crawl, an “Eating With the Seasons” perennial calendar, and farm-to-table events. Get involved and check out our latest outreach!
