Join Food Works Thursday April 19th for an evening celebrating local food & foraging with James Beard semifinalist and author of Acorns & Cattails; A Modern Foraging Cookbook of Forest, Farm & Field Chef Rob Connoley.
Connoley is a joy to hear as he describes adventures in foraged food recounted from decades of experience. He will share the history of acorns as food presenting three small plates, each paired with Scratch Beer. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The event is in the Snake Room at the acclaimed Scratch Brewery in Ava, IL at 264 Thompson Rd.. A silent auction will raise funds to support Food Works' programs.
Tickets are $25 for the public; $20 for Food Works members. Get tickets early. Space is limited.
